Corporate Social Responsibility

Professionalism, Compassion, Integrity and Teamwork are fundamental values that to date have played an integral part in NSCMH’s success. As staff of NSCMH, we jointly recognize the importance of achieving organizational success in ways that honor these values while at the same time paying tribute to our employees, particularly the community as a whole.

That is why we have established our CSR Programmes, which are very near and dear to our hearts. It is our duty as a caring corporate citizen to give back the community and raise awareness on various issues that affect our society.

As for us at NSCMH, CSR acts as a vehicle to bring the underprivileged to the mainstream by giving them a feeling of self-worth, confidence, usefulness, independence, and above all a feeling of oneness to society at large through our clinical expertise. It is also our responsibility to support the Malaysian Government’s initiatives through its requirement stated in the Private Health Care Act for private healthcare facilities to actively participate in CSR Programmes.

Through our CSR programmes, we are actively reaching out to different segments of society be it children, women, the youth or members of the public afflicted with rare diseases.

We understand that these programmes act as a vehicle to establish a trusting and long lasting relationship with the community and in order for us to initiate an impact in the community; we believe the change must first start with us, at NSCMH. Volunteer programmes are opportunities for us from throughout the organization to become engaged citizens, both with the communities and with each other.

NSCMH believes that its CSR programmes will contribute to societal development as advances in healthcare can bring direct benefits to communities. As one of Malaysia’s healthcare providers, we are committed in supporting national aspirations in the area of clinical expertise by providing meaningful medical treatment to the underprivileged members of society.

Around 24,372 poor and underprivileged patients have benefited from the NSCMH Welfare Fund starting from 2014 till January 2020. NSCMH Welfare Fund has spent RM3,147,717.29 to render financial support to help the poor and needy to obtain services in NSCMH Medical Centre during this period of time.
