Admission & Discharge
Pre-admission
  1. Patients are admitted to NSCMH from different sources:
    • Outpatient Clinic – Doctors may advise for admission to the respective ward.
    • Emergency Centre – Emergency patients are treated and/or admitted if required.
    • Specialist Clinic – Patients are advised for admission or to undergo a procedure.
    • Visiting specialists can directly admit patients from their private clinics also.
  2. Adhere to doctor’s recommendation to admit for further treatment.
  3. After getting your consent, doctor and staff will proceed to the admission process. If you are planned for a surgery:
    • Kindly arrive at least 3 hours prior to your scheduled surgery time or per doctor’s advice.
    • Do not eat or drink from the date and time as instructed by the doctor.
Admission
  1. Register at Admission & Registration Counter at Ground Floor and bring these documents:
    For Cash-Paying :
    • Your identification card / passport.
    • (If your child is admitted) Your child’s birth certificate / MyKid if under 12 years old.
    • (If your child is admitted) Guarantor’s identification card / passport.
    • Admission notice from your doctor.

    For Insurance / Corporate :

    • Your identification card / passport.
    • (If your child is admitted) Your child’s birth certificate / MyKid if under 12 years old.
    • (If your child is admitted) Guarantor’s identification card / passport.
    • Admission notice from your doctor.
    • Guarantee Letter from your company / Insurance medical card / details.
  2. For insurance, our staff will immediately proceed  to apply Initial Guarantee Letter. Based on our data, it takes less than 2 hours for Initial GL to be approved. The estimation can be varied depending on complexity of assessment and operational traffics of your Insurance Provider.
  3. You will be briefed of the term & condition. The bed is booked according to your personal choice or entitlement (for Insurance/Corporate) and subjected to avaibility.
  4. You may required to pay the deposit first. Once the bed is ready, our porter will send you to the allocated room.
During Your Stay

Our nurse will:

  • Provide you with an identification bracelet.
  • Conduct an initial assessment.
  • Brief on admission orientation.
  • Our nurses will update you from time to time for the upcoming procedure.

Wifi Access:

Feel free to ask our nurse on how to get yourself connected to the internet as we provide free WIFI access to patients and visitors. You can still keep in touch with your families, friends, colleagues while receiving the medical care from us.

Surau:

The Surau or Mussolla are located at Level 2 and Level 3. Designed and separated for male and female jemaah, our surau is provided with sejadah, telekung, Al-Quran, Yaasin and also wuduk area to ensure your ease during prayers.

 

Children’s Playground:

Let your little ones enjoy themselves during their visit or their stay at our hospital. Located at the Paediatric Ward (Level 3), this play-area is designed with safe flooring mat and equipped with safe in-door playground. It is definitely a great fun area for your children.

Discharge

For Cash-Paying:

  1. Once the doctor has assessed that you are medically fit for discharge, kindly wait our staff to process the final bill.
  2. When the bill is ready, kindly make payment at:
    • Office hours – Cashier Counter located at your ward
    • After office hours – Payment Counter at Ground Floor

  3. After you are allowed for discharge by your doctor, kindly allow 4 hours for the process of finalizing bill and the approval by your insurance company. In case you wish to discharge immediately, you can choose to pay a deposit based on the terms and conditions of your insurance policy.
  4. When the final guarantee letter is ready, kindly proceed to settle outstanding charges at:
    • Office hours – Cashier Counter located at your ward
    • After office hours – Payment Counter at Ground Floor

     

For Insurance:

After payment, please do the following in sequence:

  1. Obtain the prescribed medications (if any) from:
    • Pharmacy at Ground Floor
  2. Get your branula removed by our nurse.
  3. Receive the x-ray, laboratory report, and appointment card from the attending nurse, should there be any necessary follow-up.
  4. Collect all of your belongings and valuables in your room.
Home / Follow-up
  1. For your safety, it is strongly advisable that you have a family-relative or friend to send you home. You also can book Grab or Taxi Services to send you home.
  2. Remember to come back for follow-up visit at your doctor’s private clinic.
